Tualang honey(TH) is a Malaysianmultifloral jungle honey. The honey is produced by the rock bee (Apis dorsata),the bee species are very fierce that they build hives on branches of tallTualang trees in Peninsular Malaysia(70 Meter High). The rain forest issparsely populated, no industrial pollution and the air is fresh.  Tualanghoney is pure. It contains natural active enzymes and nutrition.


In recent years, there has been a markedincrease in the number of studies published in medical databases regarding itspotential health benefits. This review collates the results of the variousstudies of TH that range from research on tissue culture to randomised controlclinical trials. Findings thus far show that, TH has active enzymes,antimicrobial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antidiabetic properties,antimutagenic, antitumor, enhance digestion, helps intestinal peristalsis,strengthen the immune system, promote the metabolism, burns, wound healingattributes.


Compared with Manuka honey, TH has higherphenolics, flavonoids, and 5-(hydroxymethyl) furfural (HMF). It is also moreeffective against some gram-negative bacterial strains in burn wounds. (U.S. National Library of Medicine, PMID: 23966819)
